Judith Owen Jazz in Fort l’écluse

Jazz in Fort l'Ecluse is an unmissable festival for all lovers of jazz, soul and blues.

Judith Owen, following a series of sold-out concerts in London, Paris, New Orleans and New York, presents her new album at Jazz In Fort L'Ecluse.
The British singer, pianist and songwriter has released twelve critically acclaimed albums and collaborated with artists such as Cassandra Wilson, K.D Lang and Keb'Mo. Based in New Orleans for several years now, Judith Owen has returned to the love of jazz that nurtured her childhood, and today pays a vibrant tribute to the female singers of the 40s and 50s, whom she feels are too little known. Women, she says, who had the courage to assume and sing of their own desire at a time when people were demanding that they be erased. Judith Owen is accompanied on record and on stage by the finest musicians from New Orleans, where her album was conceived, imagined and recorded. Her band provides the backdrop for the authentic sound of the city. Judith Owen is an energy bomb. It's imposing, magnificent and powerful! Get ready for an evening of joyful, infectious swing.
