Short story competition

For the third year running, the town of Ferney-Voltaire, via its Le Châtelard media library, is launching a short story writing competition. To your pens, to your keyboards!

Participation is free and open to all.

The competition, on the theme of "ephemeral bodies", is divided into two categories:
- adults" category, with a minimum text length of 20,000 characters;
- hopefuls" category (up to the age of 25), with a text of no more than 10,000 characters.
The winner of each category will receive a Lire voucher worth 100 euros.

The "adults" category will also receive a symbolic prize. The winning text will be set to music by an original composition created in collaboration with artists from the Ferney-Voltaire Conservatoire. Both the text and the music will be performed in public at an exceptional awards ceremony. The concert will be attended by the literary jury, the composer and the musical artists. This event is part of the Livres en Lumières festival, supported by the CNL and the Region.
