A tea room, light meals, and a gift shop in Chézery-Forens. Jardins Sacrés offers local cuisine, a garden inspired by sacred geometry, and a space perfect for relaxation and socializing.
In Chézery-Forens, Emmanuelle Ferrone, founder of the soap-making workshop housed in the former parish house, is opening Jardins Sacrés, a space dedicated to dining and rejuvenation.
In an intimate setting, the space combines a tea room, light meals, a shop, and a library. The menu features simple dishes made with local ingredients: the savory waffle, the house specialty, is served alongside platters, mixed salads, and cheeses. Herbs grown on-site complement the dishes.
Adjacent to the building, the garden features aromatic, medicinal, and honey-producing plants. Its layout is organized around the Metatron cube, a figure of sacred geometry, and draws inspiration from the legacy of the Cistercian monks of Chézery Abbey, who helped shape the valley nearly nine centuries ago. It evokes the connections between human beings, nature, and the passing down of knowledge.
Jardins Sacrés can also be reserved for private events during the day or in the evening.
Jardins Sacrés prioritizes local products and herbs grown on-site. Its garden features aromatic, medicinal, and honey-producing plants, as part of an approach that promotes biodiversity, the local region, and the passing down of knowledge.
