What riding schools are available in the Jura?
Strolls, hikes, lessons, horse-drawn carriages… Whatever the activity you want to share with a four-legged friend, there are a number of riding centres in the Jura that are open to you.
You can take a few riding lessons at Gaïa Loisirs in Lamoura, or discover the lush green landscapes of the Pays de Gex on horse or pony. While children can enjoy a short ride lasting around 30 minutes, adults can enjoy a 1h, 2h, 3h or all-day horse ride accompanied by Servane.
Would you like to enjoy a unique experience centred on respect for the horse? Go to the Berbois equestrian farm in La Pesse. Here, you can take the time to meet and understand your future riding companion and create a unique bond. Thanks to this immersive, cooperative approach to relationships, you can enjoy a horse ride that’s much more respectful and enjoyable, for both you and your four-legged friend!
Finally, if you don’t feel like riding a horse (or pony) but would still like to share a special moment with them, contact the Equi’Table des Monts Jura farm in Mijoux. Horse-drawn sledging or carriage rides, the choice is yours!

If you’d like to discover the Pays de Gex countryside in a whole new way, why not try a horse or pony ride? For 1 hour, half a day or a whole day, go for a ride in the company of an experienced instructor.
If you’d prefer to try something a little more original, why not opt for a horse-drawn carriage ride or a ride on a harnessed toboggan? Of course, this second option is only available in winter, but it’s sure to give you an incredible thrill!
