(1) From the Fierney gondola lift, take the purple-marked trail that winds through the forest, just below the Bergers combined lift. Be careful when crossing ski runs.
(2) As you approach the summit of Montoiseau, follow the trail that runs alongside the green Anémones ski run.
(3) Then join the yellow-marked hiking trail (PR) and enter the Haute Chaîne du Jura National Nature Reserve. Continue towards Grand Crêt (1,702 m), following the ridge.
(4) At a place called “Sous le Crêt,” you will join the GR® (red and white) trail coming from Lélex. Continue to the summit of Crêt de la Neige, the highest point in the Jura mountains.
(5) Return via the same route.

This demanding climb takes place in the mountains, in an environment where the weather can change quickly. Proper preparation and a good knowledge of the terrain are essential.

Part of the route crosses the Haute Chaîne du Jura National Nature Reserve, which is subject to specific regulations:
The trail crosses a quiet zone, closed from December 15 to June 30; a tolerance is allowed: you must stay on the marked trail and not leave it.
Dogs are not allowed, even on a leash.
