Description

The Crêt de la Neige, the highest peak in the Jura, invites you to take a snowshoeing break through some spectacular scenery. Along the way, you'll be treated to one panoramic view after another: Mont-Blanc, the Swiss Alps, the Lake Geneva region, nearby Geneva, the Salève, the Écluse gorge and the Hautes-Combes du Jura… a grandiose setting that rewards your efforts.

But this adventure has to be earned. You’re in the mountains, in an environment where conditions can change rapidly. Good preparation is essential, as is sufficient knowledge of the environment if you leave the most popular routes.

The route crosses the Haute Chaîne du Jura National Nature Reserve. Here, nature is precious: stay on the marked paths, respect the tranquillity of the area and the regulations. Between 15 December and 30 June, access to certain areas where wildlife is at peace is prohibited. For your own safety and that of the environment, find out more before you go.
