(1) From Les Mars, on the outskirts of the village of Lélex, take the trail towards Mijoux. Pass in front of the butcher's shop “Au Bon Saucisson,” where the groomed trail extends on both sides of the road.
(2) Shortly after, turn left to begin a pleasant descent leading to Chemin de Murgani.
(3) Cross the path, then continue straight ahead across a field. The descent continues until you reach the banks of the Valserine. The route then follows the river, alternating between peaceful undergrowth, open meadows, and forest passages.
(4) When you emerge from the woods below La Rollan, turn right and climb slightly to reach Chemin des Alaniers, in the Septfontaines area.
(5) Cross this path, then continue on the track that runs alongside the fire station. Then join the D991 at the village exit.
(6) Cross the road carefully, pass between two buildings to reach the edge of the forest. Follow the track, which gradually leads back to the starting point at Les Mars, along the meadow that runs along the top of Les Septfontaines.
This course is only accessible when there is snow. It is strictly forbidden to use it when there is no snow.
