(1) From the center of La Faucille, at the foot of the Montrond telecombi, take the path that runs alongside the departure station on the left. Pass under the ski lift, then under the rails of the alpine toboggan.
(2) Ten metres further on, the path forks to the left and plunges into the undergrowth. The ascent begins here, on a landscaped path where progress is made naturally by a series of steps. Step by step, the forest reveals itself with two panoramic platforms offering a halt to catch your breath and admire the scenery. Educational panels help you learn more about the wild flora that surrounds you. A total of 419 steps mark this steady ascent.
(3) The finish line is at an altitude of 1540m at the summit of Petit Montrond, which offers a 360° panorama. An orientation table and binoculars enable you to identify the surrounding peaks, from the Jura massif to the Alps in the background. It’s an inviting place for contemplation.
