Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

(1) From La Pierre, walk past the town hall and turn right onto Rue de la Mairie. Walk down Rue de Montbrison. Stop to admire the house known as ‘Confignon’ on your left, which is linked to the history of the Corbière family.

(2) Cross Rue de la Treille and continue straight ahead along Rue de Champ Novaz. Take a moment to admire the restored fountain. Continue downhill until you reach the second stop sign, located opposite Chemin des Carres.

(3) Take Chemin des Carres. After about 300 m, turn left onto Chemin de la Ravoire. At the edge of the woods, a stone marks the site of the old castle. Continue along the winding, steep path that passes by the ruins of Château de la Corbière.

(4) At the bottom of the descent, join the wide Chemin de la Corbière and turn left. Return to the large avenue that leads up to the building known as ‘le Château’.
👉 Alternative: at this point, you can descend to the Rhône by passing under the railway line to discover the old Moulin de Challex and continue your walk along the riverbank.

(5) At the stop sign, go up Rue du Château opposite, cross Place du Poizat, then turn left onto Rue de la Treille until you reach the war memorial. Turn right onto Rue de Confignon to return to the town hall and the starting point.
