Guidebook with maps/step-by-step
(1) Start: From the Domaine de la Vattay start area, walk along the log fences to the control chalet.
(2) Follow the signs for the plateau, then head into the forest on a wide track.
(3) After around 500 m, you will come to a more open area.
(4) Follow the purple markers along the way.
(5) At the first fork in the path, keep right.
(6) At the second fork, also keep right.
(7) Follow the ‘La Gélinotte’ signs to the viewpoint, the highest point on the route, with an unobstructed view of the Lake Geneva basin and the Alps.
(8) Return by the same route.

Description
Take a deep breath of fresh air on snowshoes to the Gélinotte viewpoint, one of the most emblematic viewpoints on the Vattay plateau. This out-and-back route, easy to follow from the Nordic area, takes you gradually through a peaceful wooded setting to the highest point of the outing.
At the top, a wide opening offers spectacular panoramic views of the Lake Geneva basin and the majestic Alps. Take a break and enjoy the scenery!
