Show: The Weight of Ants

The state of the world weighs heavily on Jeanne and Olivier. She vandalises advertisements. He dreams that his generation is being burned like marshmallows. Then a school election is organised as part of the shamefully underfunded Future Week. Driven by the hope that they can change things, the two clash in an election campaign marked by fiery speeches, ninja expeditions, collusion and unicorn ost*e.

Both a hallucinatory political satire and an X-ray of our collective anxieties, Le poids des fourmis juggles questions of citizen resistance and abuse of power. As exuberant as it is caustic, the play invites the audience to reflect on the weight they carry, but above all, on the weight they have in the world.
