Official opening ceremony of the Christmas Market

Attend the Christmas Market opening ceremony with magical parades, a fire show and the switching on of the lights on the forecourt of the Jean Monnet Cultural Centre.
Official opening ceremony: the Christmas market will be open all day on Saturday 13 December, with the official ceremony starting at 6pm.
Visitors will be able to admire the illuminated stilt walkers at 6pm and 8pm, a fire and pyrotechnic show at 7.15pm, as well as enjoy entertainment, exhibitors and food trucks. The Mayor, accompanied by the Municipal Council and the Municipal Youth Council, will give a speech and switch on the lights at 6.30pm, before participants are invited to share a buffet provided by the town hall. Ice rink | From Friday 12th to Sunday 28th December The ice rink will be open during the Christmas Market opening hours, from 12th to 28th December.
Admission is €2, except on Saturday 13 December, the official launch day, when admission will be free for all. Residents of Saint-Genis-Pouilly will also be able to take advantage of four free admissions per family, available from the Town Hall reception.
Every day in December, you can also try to win two tickets on the town’s social media pages as part of the Advent calendar: the prize of the day, offered by a local retailer, includes two tickets to the ice rink!
