Concert fusing rap and classical music as part of the cultural season in Voltaire country
Zachary Quenum Wolf, aka Zac Wolf, is a London-based composer and artist who grew up in Geneva. After a background in production and songwriting, he developed a passion for classical music around ten years ago and recently graduated in composition from Trinity Laban. Today, he seeks to merge his experience in music production with classical techniques and orchestration.
Michael Jad Azkoul, aka Dr Koul, is a rapper, poet and author based in Geneva. With an international background, he blends hip-hop, jazz and traditional instruments to explore universal themes. He is one of the lead singers of the Geneva-based group Captains of the Imagination, and recently released a book and album entitled Prophet of Doubt.
London-based Anglo-Lebanese violinist and director Julian Azkoul, who grew up in Geneva, leads the United Strings of Europe and performs with prestigious orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra and Les Siècles. A guest soloist and concertmaster, he is also an acclaimed arranger, with several transcriptions recorded by BIS Records.
