Lecture théâtrale : Cornelia, la militante malgré elle
The Sunday 20 September at 17 a.m00
Château de Voltaire Allée du Château 01210 Ferney-Voltaire
A theatrical reading not to be missed: *Cornelia, the Reluctant Activist*
As part of the Theater Festival presented by the Compagnie des Planches Brûlées, featuring a staged reading by Valentine Sergo and Wissam Arbache.
Through this story, the author chronicles an environmental struggle waged against institutions, one worthy of the legacy of the Enlightenment. The Compagnie des Planches Brûlées will present a reading of the text at Voltaire’s castle at the end of the residency, and then as part of the Geneva Theater Festival at the Le Châtelard media library and theater.
In conjunction with this, several works by Cornelia Hesse Honegger will be on display at the Orangery of Voltaire’s Castle, then at the Le Châtelard Media Library, from September 15 to October 15. Marine Blaire will also lead a lecture on the aesthetic and societal issues in art.
As part of the writing residency that brings together the Château de Voltaire, the Chartreuse de Villeneuve-lez-Avignon, the Villa Gillet, and the City of Ferney-Voltaire, Sacha Todorov has written a piece about the aesthetic and ecological struggle waged by a scientific illustrator whose life was turned upside down after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
As part of the cultural season in the Voltaire region.
