The festival moves to the golf course for a brand new experience for jazz lovers.
Buoyed by an infectious energy and irresistible musical complicity, the Jam Express Quintet revives the festive spirit of New Orleans and Swing jazz with panache. With a lively, non-academic approach, this group celebrates a universal, free and timeless musical language.
At the heart of this vibrant journey is the inspired inspiration of Jérôme Nicolas, a virtuoso saxophonist and clarinettist renowned for his elegant, expressive and deeply felt improvisations. Alongside him, faithful accomplice Bertrand Dubourget deploys a warm, brassy and generous trombone timbre, in perfect osmosis with the rhythm section.
And what a rhythm section it is! Céline Tournebise on tenor banjo, Christine Paris on washboard and Lou Rémy on double bass make up a trio that’s as fine as it is powerful, infusing each track with a refreshing, danceable pulse.
