The artist unfolds his musical notes with disconcerting ease, like his illustrious elders, but adds a soul supplement that makes him an artist on whom we must now count.

Graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in Audio Production and Music Industry, he can now devote himself to his passion. Sean “Mack” McDonald’s engagement at the 2022 Eastside Kings and King Biscuit Festival greatly accelerated his promising career. The audience was won over by the ease and technique of this young musician. Daniel Mebold – member of the organizing team for the prestigious Lucerne Blues Festival – was present in Austin and was also impressed enough to schedule it as early as November 2023. After a successful first series of concerts in South America, Spain and the Netherlands, and then guest appearances at the Lucerne Blues Festival (CH) and Legendary Blues Cruise (USA), Sean McDonald made his first trip to France in March 2024.

Taj Mahal, Junior Watson, Kim Wilson, Kid Andersen, Marquise Knox, Jontavious Willis, Kirk Fletcher and Eddie Stunt are convinced that he is one of the best in the new generation of blues.
