Jazz In Fort l'Ecluse : Eric Serra & RXRA group
The Saturday 30 August at 20 a.m00
Fort l'Écluse Route de Genève 01200 Léaz
World-famous composer, Éric Serra has composed the most significant BOs in film history over the past 40 years, including Subway, Le Grand Bleu, Léon, Goldeneye, Le Cinquième Elément, Arthur & les Minimoys and Lucy.
Enjoy an outdoor jazz concert in the heart of a historic cliff-side fort: a unique sound and visual experience.
Éric Serra will present to the public a jazz and pop-fusion vision of his most beautiful film music! He is an instinctive musician, viscerally attached to his heart instrument, the fretless electric bass.
It is on stage, surrounded by his friends, that he has always found his reason for being — engaged body and soul in the collective making of a music with direct charm, based on energy, trance, improvisation and pure pleasure to play.
Spotted by Jacques Higelin, who makes him not only his bassist but also the artistic director of his formation, Éric Serra at the beginning of the 80s does not imagine his life anywhere else than on stage. It is far from the stage and live that he has made a name for himself.
Today, Éric Serra’s name resonates worldwide as a composer of the greatest film scores. But the return to the stage is like a cry from the heart.
Accompanied by the best French jazz musicians, he created the RXRA Group, revisiting its greatest tracks, revisited in a breathtaking jazz/ fusion.
This is now where he wants to be: on a stage with his friends, in front of his audience, for moments of sharing live.
Musicians: Eric Serra, electric bass, lead; Thierry Eliez, keyboards; Pierre Marcault, percussion; Jon Grancamp, drums; Paul Cépède, electric guitar; Renan Richard-Kobel, saxophones.
