Médiathèque Le Châtelard 23 rue de Meyrin 01210 Ferney-Voltaire
Discover the fascinating secrets and challenges of the post-war period during a conference hosted by François-Xavier Verger and readers from the Histothèque association.
The War to End All Wars, that was the promise!
No more war, never again on our soil.
It was on this certainty that the emissaries of the victorious countries imposed treaties on the defeated: Versailles, Trianon, Saint-Germain.
But war resumed in Russia and Poland, and other treaties followed.
To ensure peace, guarantees were given and the League of Nations was created in Geneva, the life and death of a generous idea.
