Enjoy these two days of events and themed tours organised in Ferney-Voltaire as part of European Heritage Days!
On the programme:
– Pottery market
Artistic and functional pottery and ceramics.
Every year, the Ferney-Voltaire pottery market brings together around forty creators from all over France.
Pottery wheel demonstrations will be held throughout the weekend.
– Guided tour of the town: ‘In the land of Voltaire, great minds meet’
Street by street, discover the only town ever built by a man of the Enlightenment between 1758 and 1778.

– Guided tour of the pottery exhibition ‘A tour of Ferney’s red side’
Until recently, pottery workshops were the main activity in our region. Corinne Millier, a tour guide, will introduce you to this rich heritage of creations through three famous workshops on display: Hécler, Nicole and Bonifas.

– Tour of Voltaire’s château and gardens
Voltaire invites you to rediscover the home where he spent the last twenty years of his life. Self-guided tours of the château and the exhibition Rêveries de promeneurs solitaires (Reveries of solitary walkers); self-guided treasure hunt in the château grounds.
