4:30 p.m.: Discussion with Muriel Scibilia

The author will present her two books on pediatric cancers: *Côté nuit, côté soleil*, which explores the experience of the disease and the upheavals it causes within the family, and *Sortir de l’ombre*, which gives a voice to the siblings of children affected by cancer and sheds light on their experiences, emotions, and the impact of the disease on their daily lives.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience.

6:00 p.m.: Lecture by Dr. Datchary

Dr. Datchary, an oncologist in Haute-Savoie and president of the Ligue contre le cancer 74, will give a presentation to help attendees better understand pediatric cancers, their treatment, and the various challenges associated with the disease.

During the lecture, activities for children:

To allow parents to attend the lecture, several activities will be offered for children at the École des Bois recreation center (located right next to the René-Lavergne Hall):

storytime; a face-painting workshop; and drawing activities to create artwork for hospitalized children, to send them a message of support and comfort.

At 8:00 p.m., the René-Lavergne Hall will be illuminated in gold, the color symbolizing the fight against pediatric cancers.

This lighting display will be accompanied by the playing of the “Septembre en Or” anthem, creating a symbolic and collective highlight of the evening.

Two food trucks will be stationed near the René-Lavergne Hall, allowing everyone to enjoy a meal on-site and extend this convivial gathering.

Throughout the evening, a donation box will be available at the entrance to the René-Lavergne Hall and at the recreation center. Anyone who wishes to do so can contribute to this solidarity effort.
