Space of Polar Worlds

The Espace des Mondes Polaires is a unique venue that houses both a museum, the only one in France dedicated to the polar regions, and an ice rink/roller skating rink. Educational and fun, it offers the ideal setting for a moment of discovery and relaxation.

The only polar museum in France, the Musée des Mondes Polaires offers a true immersion into the heart of the Arctic and Antarctic! Discover the various epic tales of polar exploration, notably the legacy of Jura explorer Paul-Émile Victor and the French Polar Expeditions; the magnificent landscapes of the poles and their wildlife, and meet the people who live there. An invitation to dream and seek adventure, but also to raise ecological awareness in the face of global warming, which is having a severe impact on these regions.

To continue your immersion in this world of ice, put on your skates and glide across the ice rink, the only natural ice rink in the Jura! In summer (from June to October), it is transformed into a roller skating rink (synthetic surface) and allows you to discover skating in complete safety, especially for younger children.

Throughout the year, and especially during the school holidays, there is a varied programme of activities, both at the museum and on the ice rink/roller skating rink: craft workshops, readings, screenings, treasure hunts, evening events at the ice rink, and more.
