Would you like to come and discover this place steeped in history? There are several ways to get to Fort l’Ecluse:

  • Fort l’Ecluse is easily accessible by car from Geneva (30 mins), Lyon (1hr 30mins) and Annecy (1hr). You can park in the fort’s car park, but beware: spaces are limited (around sixty), so make sure you arrive well in advance!
  • During the festival, free shuttle buses are also available for spectators from Collonges. These will run non-stop from Collonges to Fort L’Ecluse from 7pm to 11pm. You can park your car in the Collonges car park.

Fort l’Ecluse is open from 10.30am to 6.30pm at weekends in June, every day in July and August and at weekends until 21 September.

Dogs are not permitted in the Fort l’Ecluse enclosure.

Due to its historic layout and location on a mountainside, Fort l’Écluse has narrow staircases and passageways that may be difficult to access for people with reduced mobility. A lift is available to take you up to the terrace.

Fort l’Écluse does not have an on-site restaurant. However, picnic areas are available for visitors wishing to bring their own meals. You can also enjoy a drink at the Fort’s bar.

Yes, a via ferrata is available at Fort l’Écluse. This 400-metre-long course, with a 150-metre climb, is classified as difficulty C/D. It takes around 5 minutes to get to from the car park, and around 25 minutes to get off.
