Guided tour ‘Balconies of Lake Geneva’
A beautiful Franco-Swiss walk, with views of the Alps and Mont Blanc
The route takes us out of the forest and onto what is (mis)called the "plateau", dominated by La Dôle and the various visible peaks: Crêt Pela, Mont Rond, Crêt de Chalam…finally reaching the crest and its alpine panorama.
Ascent: 200 m
Getting there: departure from the Greffière parking lot (D1005 towards La Faucille),
15 minutes from Les Rousses, no bus parking.
Entry into Swiss territory (ID required) during the hike.
Equipment: snowshoes and poles.
Equipment hire available: 5 euros/adult.
Guided by a qualified mountain leader from ESI la Boite à Montagne.
