This building, comprising two towers and a large enclosure, is linked to the upper fort by a staircase with 1,165 steps– and that’s not all! But it’s well worth the effort, as this little physical effort will give you access to an incredible panoramic view! Get ready to take some selfies! Located on both sides of the border, the world’s largest particle physics laboratory boasts a 27-kilometre particle accelerator ring that allows physicists and researchers to carry out their experiments. If you’re an adventurer, a stroller or a hiker, you have no choice but to head for the Col de la Faucille, where you’ll be amazed by the fresh air, oxygen and wide-open spaces!
In summer, follow the signposted routes for some great hiking! In the forest or on the ridges, the scenery promises to be incredible. It’ll take your breath away! For the less adventurous, the Montrond telecombi gives you gentle access to the Haute Chaîne du Jura, at the ideal altitude for hiking. You’d be wrong to miss out!
If you’re more into leisure and fun, don’t worry, the Col de la Faucille will keep you entertained. Try your hand at summer tobogganing, with its 360° bumps and twists. Fun and laughter await you, with family or friends! Who will have the guts to go down 1 kilometre of tight bends? Hang on for a thrill!
For the more courageous, come and try out the giant zip line. With speeds of up to 70 km/h, you’ll feel like you’re flying across the Jura. Once you’ve got over your apprehension, open your eyes and take in the panorama.
