Start: At the exit from the telecombi arrival terrace, turn right.
Descend slightly to reach a wide esplanade beneath the TDF relay station.
Continue downhill into a small hollow, then climb back up to the left, following the markers.
Very soon, the panorama opens up over the Alps and Mont Blanc: a first breathtaking viewpoint.
The path climbs gently to a flat area that is often cleared of snow because of the wind.
From here, descend to a signpost.
Turn left, following the signs for ‘Grand Montrond’.
Alternatively, continue straight on towards the Chalet du Crozat to avoid the summit and return directly to the resort.
A steady climb takes you to the summit of Grand Montrond, offering a second exceptional panorama of the Jura.
(Be careful not to get too close to the cornices, which can be unstable).
Then begin the descent towards La Faucille.
The path joins the Chalet du Crozat, then crosses a ski slope (take care).
Continue straight on as you enter the forest.
Cross a footbridge before descending onto a wider track.
Follow this to reach the heart of the Faucille resort.
