Theater – The Dream Life

*The Dream Life* is an ode to the ordinariness of life’s journey, with its successes and failures, and an ode to our daily struggles—all told with panache.
The burlesque and the tragic intertwine here, because in life, nothing happens the way it does in the movies. There’s never that one defining moment when everything changes and falls into place. So, if we start from the disheartening premise that life is just a long series of disappointments (but not only that!), we might as well laugh it off.
In *La vie rêvée*, we follow Kelly Ruisseau through all the trials she’s had to overcome to stay in the game and try to become a “real” actress: rushed and humiliating auditions; a role as a maid in a “Murder Party” for a corporate team-building event; scenes cut during editing… all classic milestones in an actor’s journey, but ones from which we don’t always know what lessons to learn…
