Le Saturday 15 August à 20h00
Fort l'Écluse route de Genève 01200 Léaz
60's Ye Ye, music that gives you a real buzz!
The band's name immediately conjures up images of the '60s, with its gingham tones, sauerkraut and bananas on the head, dance halls, Salut Les Copains, and the American twist-yéyé wave sweeping through French youth, who had previously only listened to Papa's music.
The group offers a carefully chosen repertoire of twist, yéyé and 60’s rock’n’roll, with original songs and French versions.
The founding members of Monokini are professional musicians, all of whom have accompanied well-known singers. They get together in Monokini like kids in a playground. Monokini is their playground, a place where they can have fun together, playing music that makes you feel good and makes you dance!
The band’s rendition of these standards is a no-frills, high-energy affair. Their repertoire includes Eddy Mitchell and Les Chaussettes Noires, Johnny Hallyday, Sylvie Vartan, Richard Anthony, Nino Ferrer, France Gall, Les Surfs, Françoise Hardy, Serge Gainsbourg and many more….
The musicians:
Claire Tillier: vocals; Guillaume Zeller: keyboard, guitar, vocals; Matthieu Lesenechal: bass, vocals; Benjamin Vairon: drums, vocals
