Challexpo Nature 2026: Birds in action

The 2026 edition of Challexpo Nature, organized by Les Ornithos de Challex, with the support of the Groupe Ornithologique du Bassin Genevois (GOBG) and the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux (LPO), invites the public to plunge into the heart of local biodiversity through a photographic exhibition and meetings with enthusiasts.

The event, which runs from Saturday April 25 to Tuesday April 28 at Challex’s Salle Communale Jean-Antoine Lépine, highlights the birds of Pays de Gex and the Lake Geneva basin, fragile but essential witnesses to the health of our ecosystems. For its second edition, the exhibition focuses on behaviors such as reproduction, feeding and interactions.
The exhibition will feature around 120 large-format shots taken by amateur photographers from the region, revealing the beauty and diversity of the species that surround us. Through these images, visitors will also discover the challenges facing birds. The exhibition will also feature educational messages on how to take action on a daily basis: plant hedges, install nest boxes, avoid pesticides in the garden or support local associations. There will be an area for children, including the possibility of a school visit on April 27 and 28, and a competition for the best photograph.
