Mountain biking like you've never read it before!

Riding safely is easy and fun! Here are a few good reflexes to get the most out of your mountain biking outings:

▶ Follow the marked trails
These trails are your best friends! They’re there to guide you and give you a safe ride. And don’t forget to follow the direction of traffic, to avoid surprises.

▶ Stay realistic and careful
You’re a hero on two wheels, but even heroes know their limits. Keep your speed under control to avoid mishaps.

▶ Be polite and share
When overtaking or passing riders, remember: pedestrians are king. A smile and a kind word can make all the difference!

▶ Check your mountain bike before you set off
Make sure it’s in good condition. Take along a repair kit… just in case!

▶ If you’re going solo
Tell someone about your route. Better safe than sorry.

▶ The helmet, your best ally
Always wear it. It can make all the difference in the event of a fall.

▶ Respect private property
Some paths cross cultivated or private land. Please respect them as if they were your own.

▶ Watch out for farm and forestry machinery
They have the right of way. Please take care!

▶ Close the gates behind you
A simple gesture that saves a lot of trouble.

▶ Leave nature as it is
Don’t pick flowers, fruit or mushrooms. They are better off in their natural environment.

▶ Respect wildlife
Avoid disturbing them. Their tranquillity counts too.

▶ Waste: zero trace
Take your rubbish with you. Nature will thank you!
