The challenge of fort l'Ecluse

Its courses of 12 or 19km, mix roads and paths, wide tracks and monotraces…

Departing from the village of Léaz, the routes cross spectacular landscapes, particularly near the listed site of the Virgin of Léaz overlooking the Rhône, and the gorge of the Ecluse. But the strong point of this trail is the passage in the incredible underground gallery of Fort l’Ecluse and its 917 steps.

There is a charge to register for the challenges, but you can cheer on the runners for free. The route between the Lower Fort and the Upper Fort of the Fort l'Ecluse site will be prohibited to the public. (underground gallery, 917 steps)
