Which toboggan runs are accessible?
If you like tobogganing, you’re in luck: the Monts Jura resort has several runs that you can enjoy with friends or family and children.
Lélex has a designated sledging area. It is located in the centre of the village, between the Muiset ski lift and the Piou Piou club. The run is free.
There is also a toboggan run in Mijoux, just outside the village. The run is 150m long, as is the one at Menthières. The latter is accessible via a conveyor belt for €12 per person.
There are two other toboggan runs in the Monts Jura resort: one at Crozet, at the top of the Fierney gondola lift, and one at the Col de la Faucille at 1323m on the snow front. The latter two runs are free.
Where can you hire your equipment in Pays de Gex and the Monts Jura resort?
Don’t have any sledging equipment? Then don’t panic! Several equipment hire shops are open in the resort during the winter. So you can buy or hire your sleds, as well as the equipment you need. Ready to slide down the Jura toboggan runs at top speed?
Where can you go tobogganing in summer?
It’s summer and you’re disappointed because you won’t be able to enjoy your favourite activity during your stay in the Jura: sledging. But think again!
At the Monts Jura resort, you can go tobogganing in summer, and hurtle down the rails of this 1365m-long run. With a difference in altitude of 90m, a 37% gradient and an almost 360° spin, it’s sure to be a thrill! If you prefer a more leisurely descent, that’s also possible: you can easily control your speed thanks to the brakes, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery before your eyes.
In summer, the toboggan run is open every day from 10am to 6pm. Come and have a great time with your family or friends!
