Where to ski in the Jura?

Are you a fan of downhill skiing? We understand! What a unique sensation to feel the snow slide under your spatulas, and to pick up speed to taste that feeling of freedom.

Just 20 minutes from Geneva, in the Pays de Gex and its Monts Jura resort, you can enjoy downhill skiing in 3 areas: Crozet-Lélex, Mijoux-La Faucille and Menthières.

An exceptional setting

At an altitude of 1680 metres, the Monts Jura resort offers uninterrupted views of one of the most spectacular panoramas in Europe: Mont Blanc!

The Monts Jura resort is a great place to ski for all ages and abilities. So you can enjoy this sport with confidence and to your heart’s content.

Monts Jura in figures :

  • 36 km of pistes
  • 36 runs (11 green, 12 blue, 10 red and 3 black) + 2 boardercross courses
  • 19 ski lifts (2 gondola lifts, 2 telecombi lifts, 2 chair lifts, 11 drag lifts, 1 gondola lift and 1 carpet lift)
  • 34 ha of artificial snow = 140 snow guns
  • 800m ascent
  • Back to the villages on skis
  • Snowscooters are allowed on all sites!

Ski Discovery at Mijoux-La Faucille

Savour moments on the blue Mainaz slope from Montrond: 1,100m long and 230m vertical drop to feel the soft crunch of the snow under your spatulas and recharge your batteries in the heart of magnificent scenery.



On this progressive ski area, ideal for families, skiers can perfect their downhill skiing at their own pace and in safety, thanks to pistes for all levels. There are 12 runs, including 2 green, 6 blue, 3 red and 1 black.

Ski performance at Lélex-Crozet

This is the main ski area dedicated to “grand-ski” and nature lovers. On the Lélex side of the mountain, you can slalom between the fir trees and ski down some of the longest runs and steepest slopes in the whole of the Jura massif (780m).

It’s an area where everything is possible: snowboarders and freeriders will find limitless scope for expression, and on the Crozet side, kitesurfers will be able to reach the summits to practise their acrobatic sport.

At the top, the panoramic views of Lake Geneva and the Mont Blanc massif will leave you breathless.

Ski initiation at Menthières

The Menthières site is a snow stadium that’s perfect for introducing families to winter sports.

It offers all the pleasures of the season: downhill skiing, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing…
Young and old alike will love the conveyor belt that serves both the beginners’ slope and the toboggan run.

An area that has retained its charm of yesteryear, where you can enjoy skiing in complete tranquillity.
